The big positive is that you get to play as a cop: it's one of the two campaigns, and I tend to enjoy being a cop more in NFS. Rivals: not great, even though the core gameplay is quite good. Core mechanics and gameplay are still great, but the soul doesn't feel like it's there anymore. You just park near one you like, hope it's part of the base game (many cost extra), and off you go. No feeling of progression as you don't own any of the cars in a garage. The story is replaced by leaderboards to convince you to be faster than your friends, like you're supposed to care. There's no story unlike in the 2005 game, so there's no particular motivation to become the most wanted. Most Wanted (2012): it may share the name with the 2005 game but it's nothing like it. Here's my takes on the games (that I took from a previous post of mine except for Most Wanted): It's hard to rank them because none of them is either good or bad, they're just somewhat different. The others I would only recommend to fans of the franchise. I've played all the NFS games currently available on Steam. Submit a new deal Submit a question/PSA Reddit New Deals Popular Deals Meta
